The weekend is here! Happy Easter to those who are celebrating.
It's April, a new month and the beginning of the new season. While still socially-distanced, more events are beginning to happen in-person, which hopefully means brighter days are ahead.
Here's what's happening this weekend:
When: 9-12 p.m. Saturday, April 3

Details: Grab your basket and head to the park nearest your home to collect eggs! Exchange your collected eggs for a goodie bag of treats and small toys at the tent station in each park. Parking is limited, so walking is encouraged.

Where: Essex Alliance Church or Essex Alliance Church - North Avenue Campus
Details: This Easter event is full of free and socially-distanced fun for the whole family. Drive thru to see your favorite characters and leave with a kit to have an Easter egg hunt at home. This event is occurring at two different times at two different locations: 9:30 a.m. at Essex Alliance Church in Essex and 2:30 p.m. at Essex Alliance Church in Burlington.
When: 4-6 p.m. Saturday, April 3
Where: O’Brien Community Center, Winooski
Details: Every weekend, O’Brien Community Center in Winooski whips us a new cultural cuisine for pre-order and take out. This week, try authentic dishes such as dijaaj bialzaytun and kasakas bialkhitar. Register for $20 in advance, as meals sell out quickly. Bring your own bag to pick up.
When: 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 4
Details: This online concert and art and music auction benefits HANDS, a nonprofit providing food for low-income seniors in Chittenden County. Local musicians Dwight & Nicole and Kat Wright & Brett Hughes. Tickets are a $10 donation.
When: 11-4 p.m. Saturday, April 3 and Sunday April, 4
Where: Palmer’s Sugarhouse, Shelburne
Details: Enjoy Easter weekend at the sugarbush! Visit Palmer’s on Saturday of Sunday for sugar on snow, maple cremees, a visit with the Easter Bunny and more. Enjoy the storywalk, farm barn and watch the sap boil.
