Well, hello! Slava’s my name, and sweet is my game! So far, I have lived a very full life and am looking for my next chapter! I want nothing more than the finer things in life, and to curl up in your lap and sleep (perhaps by the fire? Hmmm?). I can also be quite curious and will enjoy exploring my new home – I’m not all sleeping and eating, don’t you know! If you have room in your heart and home for this beautiful lady (me!), please come visit me at HSCC. I can be seen lounging in my condo enjoying my days of retirement. (Ahhh…such is life!) All I need is a scratch behind my ears and my purr-box starts working overtime!
Slava is a senior lady who desperately needs to get out of the shelter. Slava was lucky enough to live with her person for her entire life, until recently, when they could no longer take care of her. Change can always be difficult for animals, but it is especially hard on a 15-year-old kitty. The shelter is especially stressful for senior cats and the most important thing we can do for Slava is to get her into a home quickly. Slava may be in her late teens, but she still has plenty of love and affection to give. Age is just a number and Slava is doing her best to age with pride! She has arthritis, her hearing and eyesight is on its way out, and she is in the early stages of kidney disease. Slava needs a hero. Is it you? She deserves to stretch out in front of a warm fire for her golden years and live the remainder of her live as a beloved family member.

Cats & dogs: No thank you! I would like to be the only furry friend in my new home!
*Older cats do run the risk of increased stress from shelter life which can lead to a decline in health. If you can’t adopt this beauty, please share Slava’s story with someone who can.*
