The Hornets followed a string of wins against overmatched opposition with a visit to perennial Division I contender Missisquoi on Friday, and Morin’s big day at the plate helped Essex cruise to a 16-7 win for a 13-0 record and the top spot in the standings entering the final week of the regular season. Morin had three hits in a 20-2 win over Mt. Mansfield on Monday (May 14) to start the week, and finished it with three hits and a half-dozen runs batted in to beat the Thunderbirds.
