Goodbye, Fort Ethan Allen

It’s been a blast working in the historic Fort Ethan Allen. Our building at 462 Hegeman Avenue happens to be one of the converted horse stables.

From the Fort Ethan Allen Museum website:

The wider Artillery stables on the  western end were designed for 120 horses each.   As with much of the rest of the fort they were upgraded with electricity in 1905.  An Artillery stable built in 1904 cost $15,875.00 to build.

The staff ALWAYS thought the office had a ghost. On occasion, there’d be unexplained footsteps and shadows. We liked to think the spirit was one of a stableboy from the past.

And now we’re stepping into the future and leaving our friendly ghost behind. Where are we going?
