Colchester Theater Company presents

“The Foreigner”

The Colchester Theatre Company presents the outrageous American comedy “The Foreigner” by Larry Shue March 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. at Colchester High School.

This production satirizes the culture clash that troubles a bland British science fiction editor, Charlie Baker, who arrives from England with his military friend Froggy at a hunting lodge in rural Tilghman County, Georgia. He attempts to solve his anti-social tendencies by pretending to be a foreigner who can’t speak a word of English. He’s warmly welcomed by the lodge-owners: the lovable friend of Froggy, Betty, the endearing but dim-witted young boy, Ellard, his assertive sister, Catherine, and her fiance, Reverend David. As time goes by, the characters begin to trust their secrets with the supposed “foreigner” and Charlie learns that some of those secrets have dire consequences for the people who live in the lodge.

Tickets will be available for reservation at CHS by calling 264-5729 or for purchase at the door for $5.
